Valsoft Enters Car Rental Management With the Acquisition of Bluebird Auto Rental Systems
MONTREAL, July 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Valsoft Corporation Inc. (“Valsoft”), a Montreal-based company specializing in the acquisition and development of vertical market software businesses, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Bluebird Auto Rental Systems, L.P. (“Bluebird”), an industry-leading car rental software provider headquartered in Dover, New Jersey with regional sales and support offices throughout the US, as well as Canada and the UK.
Since 1982, Bluebird has been supporting hundreds of customers around the world. Their flagship product, RentWorks, provides all the tools needed to run a car rental business or service loaner department, from the front counter to the back office. Modules are available for everything from credit card processing and signature pads to website and accounting integration.
Bluebird Auto Rental Systems, LP, was established in 1993 when Angela Margolit and a handful of limited partners purchased the auto rental division of Bluebird Systems. Under Angela’s leadership and tenure, Bluebird has attracted and retained an extremely loyal customer-base and its premier products, RentWorks and NetRent, remain market leaders in its industry.
“It has always been of utmost importance to understand our customers’ concerns and serve them to the best of our abilities.” stated Angela Margolit, Bluebird’s former President. “As I planned my retirement, my goal was to sell the company to someone who could carry on our legacy of having a meaningful connection with our customers.”
Ms. Margolit will help transition the company so that the team at Valsoft can pursue their mission to grow the business and advance its technology. The company will continue to develop, enhance, service, and support their industry-leading RentWorks and NetRent solutions in providing a competitive edge to customers.
“We are thrilled to enter the car rental software vertical market with a strong leader and welcome Bluebird customers, employees and partners into the Valsoft family.” said Michael Assi, CEO of Valsoft Travel and Leisure division. “Over many years, Angela and her team have built an excellent reputation and a customer-centric culture aligned with Valsoft’s mission. We will carry on Bluebird’s legacy in serving our customers as a long-term technology partner, enabling them with the best technology and exceeding their expectations in product and services quality.”
